So, What do you guys think our chances are against the leader of the Bundesliga? Appearantly Hecking is happy with the team and didn't see the need to buy a new player. Werder at the other hand is playing magnificent football and deserves to be up there.
Frank Baumann won't play in the game against us due to having been hurt. This is the likely line-up (werder-bremen.de, with players sitting on the bench): Wiese, Reinke, Pasanen, Naldo, Wome, Niemeyer, Vranjes, Fritz, Rosenberg, Diego, Klose, Hunt, Jensen, Frings, Almeida, Borowski, Schulz, Mertesacker.
Here are the games played by Werder in the winter break:
19.09.2006 VSK Osterholz-Scharmbeck - Werder 0:9
08.01.2007 Besiktas Istanbul - Werder 0:4
11.01.2007 Feyenoord Rotterdam - Werder 1:2
12.01.2007 SV Mattersburg - Werder 1:1
19.01.2007 Rot-Weiß Erfurt - Werder 2:5
23.01.2007 1. FC Magdeburg - Werder 0:3

When you put it like that Squig, it doesn't look too hopeful! Perhaps we can give them a surprise
Remind me, who was Lara? Do you mean Lara Croft, boyfriend of Max Pain

Lara was the daughter of Robert Enke, as you can read in this thread.
Your German is coming quite well I have to say, by the way. Any chance you and Tony could make it to the Hertha game? I will propably be there (with an American friend).
We have nothing to lose in Bremen, so maybe we can be lucky and pull something. A loss there would not be a great loss, a win there would be overwhealming though, so I think it's going to be good.

The next game I can go to is against Schalke 04. I wanted to come to the HSV 96 v HSV game again but Air Berlin have doubled the price of flights to Hannover that weekend. My son is coming to the Schalke game also.
I saw the game against Bremen live on TV in England! 96er did not deserve to lose 3-0. Die Roten played very well indeed in the first half and could have scored at least twice. Tarnat hit the post and in the second half Balitsch hit the bar. It could so easily have been very different. If we play the same way throughtout the 2nd half of the season we will be just fine. The boys did good, as we say in England.
Klose looked a class act. That said, even he couldn't beat Robert Enke from 11 metres!
Sorry to be a bit dumb about the Lara referance.
Lass die andere alle lesen von Bremen oder Bayern.......

Try bwin.com. They broadcast all Bundesliga-matches in a flash-applet. Okay, it's pretty small but it's for free and better than nothing...

The game was on the SETANTA SPORT channel in the UK. I believe it is an Irish channel and only available through Sky. They show a Bundesliga match every Sunday and it just happened to be Hannover this week.
I cannot access this channel myself, but I know a man who can!
bwin.com sounds interesting. I will certainly try it out.

Well, I certainly didn't see that coming!!! 5-0 against Berlin must be about as good as it gets.
When the team was announced without Jiri Stajner or Dariusz Zuraw I feared the worst, especially as it looked on paper like the team was set up for a draw with just my mate Hashemian playing as a lone striker. How wrong I was!
How long before we start talking about a EUFA Cup place again?
Should we feel sorry for SV Hamburg? Myself, I think not.

30k at the game treated to a football lesson BUT..........
Hertha report pitch as NOT up to Bundesliga standards
Is it a poor surface or just 5-0 sour grapes?
Appreciate feedback - geil
