Thought you might like to know the latest on Thomas Buffel, the Glasgow Celtic player that H96 almost signed at the end of January.

Well, it was reported in the Scottish press earlier this week that he is now recovering from an operation on his injured knee. He is, however, expected to miss the rest of the season. So perhaps it was not such a bad thing that we did not sign him after all

Threadnomancie. Your are right about the Celtics/Rangers remark, but looking at the date Londoner posted his comment, the rest of tthat season is over anyways...

...but it is good to hear that Thomas is back fighting for a place in the team after being out injured for 7 months.

Die Roten hardly need any more midfield players now, so I would think it is unlikely we will be making another move to sign him.

I tend to disagree. Our midfield still lacks creativity (someone along the lines of Simak in his early days, Marcelinho, Ribery, Diego, ... you get the idea). Not to sure Buffel would fill that gap, but our situation in the table does not quite reflect how we have been playing throughout this season I think. It's a bit flattering and frnakly shows how weak the Bundesliga has become on footballing terms.
