I saw on Sky Sports that H96 have sacked the coach and got a new man in place already
Do you have any info on the new coach please?
Where he is from, previous background
Thanks/Danke
Geile Roten!

The 42-year old Mirko Slomka was born in Hildesheim, a city near Hannover, actually living in Hannover with his wife, a daughter and a son. From 1989 till 1999 he coached several youth teams at Hannover 96 before leaving the club for an engagement at Tennis Borussia Berlin. 2001 he returned as the assistant coach of Ralf Rangnick till both had been dismissed in 2004. They both then switched to Schalke 04. From 2006 on, Mirko Slomka was promoted to head coach. Though being pretty successful he finally was dismissed in 2008, because of the lack of confidence by the club leaders, Slomka could push the team a bit further to gain the German CC or even more on the international stage. (if we just had their problems...)
In the meantime Slomka worked for different TV-Stations as an expert.
While being a youth team coach here in Hannover he worked with players like Per Mertesacker, Gerald Asamoah, Sebastian Kehl or Fabian Ernst. All these players are actual or former national players.
Hope this helps a bit.

Referring to the press conference and the first training impressions, i'm pretty optimistic.
Both new co-trainers, Norbert Düwel and Nestor El Maestro (what a name!), seem to be pretty good as well.
