Right now, we owe it to Nuremberg's and Berlin's inability to focus the relegation, I guess. There is a long and very intense discussion here in the German part of the forum about the correlation of the actual situation and the suicide of Enke. So there is a wide range of arguments, pros and cons. This might find its origin in the tragedy, because it looks obvious, but finally nobody really knows. I personally have my doubts on that.

Actually, a team of psychologists joined the staff and they've just taken up their employment. Since Enke committed suicide these sport psychologists (they worked with Roger Federer, too) kept a wary eye on the team, as they began to survey the team's behaviour with the match against Schalke in 2009 (first match after the suicide). Since then they got some interesting information and gained some remarkable perceptions.

One more option to use and the staff is pulling out all the stops to get the team back into the winning ways.

Might be late, perhaps too late, but otherwise they do not seemed to have given up on the team right now.

All in all the team needs to win again climbing up the standings and not to hope for another fail of the two teams behind us. Right now I would'nt lay odds on the team to win the relegation. They are skating on very thin ice right now! The hope is they finally understood what it is all about! Again I have my doubts!

Not for sure, but it's not looking very good. And Koln may be average this season, but they played very well in the game. They showed up with their A game and 96 just couldn't answer back.

There is still time left to turn it around, not much, but there is time.

There are six games remaining, and yes, it is tough, but do able.

The schedule looks like this:

Away vs. Hamburger

Home vs. Shalke

Away vs. Bayern Munchen

Away vs. Bayer Leverkusen

Home vs. Borussia Monchengladbach

Away vs. Bochum


96 have been weaker on the road, so it doesn't look good I agree, but if they can get 6 points from 6 games, they can do it. Wins at Bochum and Borussia and a few draws? Absolutely realistic.

It all comes down to how Bochum, Nuremburg and Freiburg perform, as they are all within 4 points of 96. That is why beating Bochum is essential, plus 4-6 more points will do wonders and probably help avoid relegation.

6 points against bochum and Gladbach are a must. if we can pull an upset in one of the other 4 games the chances to reach the 16th spot are not so slim. It's still doable.
