After last night's game in the DFB cup Schalke 04 vs Hannover 96 something happened now upsetting the fans. After the Hannover fans threw some beers at the Schalke fans and the schalke fans threw beer and hot brewerages (Glühwein) back (all in cups) the police went into the Hannover fan section, beating everything in it's way to catcj two (out of more than 6) cup throwers. One schalke fan earlier was asked to leave, went upstairs two steps, sat again and started throwing while officials just stood next to him.
The scene somehow escaladed, there was a big fight with Policemen vs not-really resisting Hannover 96 fans. Women and kids were beaten, a father almost lost conscience in front of his kriing kids after being poked by one policemen, 96-fans with cameras were threatened and asked to shut the cameras off, most fans had to wait for 30 minutes kneeing and tied on the floor, some were brought to hospitals. On fan was talking to a policeman, than out of a sudden struck down by him and lost his conscience, a Schalke fan watching that interupted but was threatened, too. The other fan lay there for 10 minutes or so, none of the policemen helped him and two doctors/medics (Sanitäter???) just watched him. He was brought to a policestation in a policecar even though he did not awake (later he was seen to be ok in the Gelsenkirchen centre, but he lost his ID, his money and his jacket and the whole thing was about the police not letting him go in again in the fan-section.
The fans were randomly beaten by the police, hidden policemen just sprayed pepper spray at some fleeing fans. The 96 Fanbeauftragte (Fan-manager or so) basti Kramer wanted to talk with the police but is still in the hospital.

Not that many Schalke fans are protesting, too, about the way the 96 fans were treated like.
My opinion: even though the Hannover fans did not behave good the police just way overreacted. many fans reported of the hate in their eyes, crimes were comitted and have to be brought to court (one schalke fan is doing that)
