ok; discusson about the following games:
Sat 14 15:30 H Eintracht Frankfurt BUNDESLIGA
20.-22. A FC Schalke 04 BUNDESLIGA
24.-25. A Borussia Dortmund DFB-CUP
27.-29. A Hamburger SV BUNDESLIGA

I hope that we are able to make a move out of relegation zone and advance in the cup... if th teams fights the same way we did against Dortmund, that's doable.Schalke and Hamburg are really out of form lately, plus we always did great against the smaller hs, we showed that we can dominate Dortmund, only Fankfurt's good form gives me a headache. We'll see.

I think, that we will win against BVB!!!!!!!

We are playing in Dortmund, too.
But we will win either!

Here's how I see it:-

Frankfurt W 2-1

Schalke L 0-2

Dortmund(Cup) L 1-2

Hamburg W 1-0

Give me 6 points in league rather than a cup run! :P

We'll see. I just think that cup games are more fun to watch, don't know why exactly.

Agree Squib BUT thats because cup games ALWAYS produce a winner

H96 are a gr8 cup team so that might be our route to EUFA Cup BUT I still want us to get points in league 1st 8)

Simple choice - MAYBE win cup and enter EUFA

or

survive in Bundesliga :?:

Gotta be the league every time, we have had our share of bad times before so lets concentrate on survival.

Off course the league is overall more important, and getting our of the relegation zone is top priority, but we just gotta win in Dortmund ;-)

Unusual for a Wednesdayite to be choosy about which games we need to win the most! Win 'em all. that's what I say! If come the end of the season we happen to have a Cup in our hands or a place in the EUFA Cup than than so be it.

I am sure the team set out to win every match they play, regardless of what competition they are playing in. If we are out of the bottom 3 by 1st November I will be happy. If we are still in the Cup I will be happier still. If we win all 4 I will buy a Sheffield Wednesday shirt!

Love it just love - buy it from me cos I cheaper than official shop and short on readdies right now

Palace cant make their minds up whether to be red or blue - should go back to your old kits from 60s and 70s - they were trendsetting, diagonal double stripe from shoulder to waist - no self respecting Mod was without one - well up north it was ok to wear them :P

Hope you enjoy trip, send me e-mail with all the gory details pleez

Well, this was not it. great 1st half, bad 2nd half besides the last 15 minutes or so... Who knows what would have happened if Tarnat would have got the penalty in... :-/

Yes a pity about the missed penalty BUT a point against an undefeated team is ok. Pity we didn't inflict Frankfurt's 1st defeat of season though :P

That would have been perfect. Not to worry, though. Things can only get better!

It looked good until the penalty miss. The confidence just seemed to disappear from that point on. Once Frankfurt scored Hannover just didn't have the ability to respond. The supply to the forwards was sadly missing on Saturday. They seemed to miss Lala driving them forward from midfield and very little came from either flank. Stijner was a big disappointment. He didn't get involved a great deal. In fact Hannover didn't offer much in attack at all in the second half. That said, it was easy to see why Frankfurt have drawn so many games. They showed very little ambition and didn't trouble our defence much.

I am not a great fan of Hashemian and I saw little on Saturday to make me change my mind. Cannot fault him for effort though. I see on the website that he was voted man of the match. I must have been at the bar when he was having his best spell.

On the Sunday we had time to kill so we went to the game between St Pauli and SV Hamburg seconds in the Regional League North. What a mistake! Don't ever be tempted.

Last weekend was the first time I have ever been to Hannover when there have been leaves on the trees. It really is a beautiful City.

You sure St Pauli in Regional North? I thought they were in Bundesliga2.

I gotta soft spot for St Pauli - cant work out if its cos of the seedy side of life or their unusual brown & white kit.

I'm trying to get some of my sunday league team to go over in April next, deffo to Hannover but maybe combine long weekend with a stopover in Hamburg.

St Pauli is for sure in the Regionalliga Nord.

bacl on topic: We suck at the moment. I have no idea what exactly is wrong, maybe the team is just to weak for the 1st Bundesliga, but during the winter break changes have to be made.
I hope we can turn our fate around against Hamburg, we allways looked well against them, and maybe gain some self conscience in the cup next week...

Could it be that we have turner the corner now and the good form in the cup will carry over into the weekend?. The game against HSV at the AWD last season will live for a long time in my memory! It is one of my all time best top 10 footballing experiences. A repeat on Saturday would be fantastic.

Do we know yet when the next round of the cup will take place, and when is the draw? I know it will be a midweek game. Are you thinking the same as me, Soulmanash?

The draw will be held next Saturday. So depending on if we'll get a home or an away game you could start looking for flights.
