Hi,
My friend and I are fans of Brighton in England (terrible team!) and Hannover 96. We are coming over to Hannover for the game with Bochum on Friday 3rd of November.
If any local fans of Hannover would like to meet up before the match to share a few laughs, stories and beers then please let us know where and when to meet and we shall be there.
We're both 34 years old and just out for a few laughs with our German friends!
All the best and hopefully see some of you in a few weeks!

GET OFF OUR PATCH, BRIGHTON!!!
Me and my mate (who is probably bigger than your mate!) are PALACE fans and have been going to Hannover for the last couple of years. In fact, we will both be at the game against Eintract Frankfurt tomorrow. Can I suggest that if you wish to support a German team than one more in keeping with your Brighton background may be in order. Have you considered Brunswick at all?
Local rivalries apart, I'm sure you will find plenty of Hannover 96 fans willing to let you buy them a drink before the game, or during the game even. In general, you couldn't meet a nicer bunch of fans. People think we are nuts for going all the way to Germany to see a football match when we have got a (comparatively) exciting and successful team to watch around the corner in Selhurst. The point is that watching football in Germany is a whole different experience, and far cheaper than the Premiership (not that you lot would know about that the Premiership).
However, it is good to know that a few more UK based Hannover fans have come out of the woodwork lately. Almost enough to have our own branch of the fan club. I can even see a group booking on Ryanair on the horizon. Just make sure you Brighton types don't sit anywhere near me!
Half Man Half Biscuit, now there's a band from a past age. Whatever happened to them, and how old did you say you are?

Welcome to the south coast section!
It was a gr8 place in the 60s when I was an original Mod - there thats blown my age - damn!
At least your club play in same kit as mine - Sheff Wednesday.
So that proves I have a GSOH supporting H96 and SWFC
Anyhow welcome and if you go to Hannover please make sure you get those horrible pebbles out of your toes

Just as long as the group numbers no more than 10 we would be OK.
Anymore and your riot police go on automatic alert
Be just like the pop groups invading Germany in the 60s - yeah! yeah! yeah!
But then we have to support St Pauli

Yep...I'm still disappointed. But it's great to hear that we're even supported from fans in the UK.
Let's all pray for better days

Or, on a related note, how you liked it there?
Same goes for Londoner, didn't hear anything about your last trip yet... ;-)

Sorry for the delay chaps. We stayed in this hotel:
Mercure Hotel Hannover Mitte
tel : (+49)511/473900
Postkamp 10Niedersachsen
30159 HANNOVER
It was top draw and for only £17 a night it was cheap as chips as well. Highly recommended. It's only a 10 minute walk from the station and about a 15 minute walk into town.
Before the game we must have visited about 10 pubs. The best of which was this place ( http://www.brauhaus.net/) - it was good for food and also had it's own microbrewery meaning the beer was absolutely spot on. Opposite the nearest public transport stop to the ground (although we walked as it wasn't far) there is a mad place which houses around 10-15 bars under one roof. That's well worth a visit. There is also a bar near to the ground which I forget the name of was also ok.
We ordered our tickets online in the West stand for 31 Euro which we picked up outside the stadium but in hindsight we didn't really need to bother as there were thousands for sale in all parts of the ground on the night. We sat in our seats for the first half and made our way around to the terrace behind the goal for the second half for a better atmosphere.
Regarding the match itself Hannover were absolutely shocking to be honest and I had to pinch myself the following Wednesday when the same team went out and beat Bayern away from home. It's a funny old game Saint! Bochums fairly small following ended up outsinging the home fans who were pretty disgruntled and with good reason really.
Quite a few more beers ensued post match and a rather enjoyable day out was had (save for the result obviously). We saw two more games whilst we were out there as our game was on a Friday night and well....why not eh!?

Sounds good to me.
You propably mean the Markthalle (=market hall) with the 10-15 bars, next to the old town?
And the Brauhaus is quite good as well, I agree (remember, Londoner? ;-) )
The atmosphere really got downhill since we didn't win a game at home for the last 6 months... shocking, really.

The place with all the different bars and clubs could have been the Raschplatz.
The Hotel is very nice, actually. We are sometimes using their conference facilities and so far my colleagues were always very pleased. Food is supposed to be good as well.
The game was pretty bad, but they played really well against Stuttgart last weekend, even though they lost. A draw would have been well deserved. Ow well, let's hope we're luckier on Saturday against Mönchengladbach. 3 Points would be just excellent!!
Fingers crossed, everbody!
Like many others I believe that our season started after the Munich game.
