Trainer without any Ideas

Beitrag von jimmylodge »

Mr.Slomka has lost the thread, his tactics are poor to say the least. He may have a squad hampered by injuries, but it doesn't change the fact that Hannover have only 1 point from the last 15! When 96 take the lead, he prefers to shore up the defence, rather than try to increase the lead (last example against Hertha). He should have told his players to get on with things after Schulz was responsible for the penalty against Hoffenheim, instead of gesticulating with his arms over his head about how hard Hannover were treated be the ref. His tactics are very negative and I for one do not see him on the bench for the rest of the season! a defeat on Friday is unthinkable!!!!

Indeed Jimmy. I also noticed that instead of upping the pressure after scoring a goal to exploit the uncertainty and confusion of an opponent, the philosophy has been to go on the defensive or rest on the laurels of the goal. Now that Mirko Slomka is no longer trainer, the task will be to teach the team to take a more aggressive approach when in the lead. The other thing I just can't understand is why this downhill trend, which we've been seeing match for match for well over a year now, has not been openly addressed earlier.

Our president believed up to the last match that Slomka reached the turnaround. Our new head coach is Tayfun Korkut: http://www.hannover96.com/CDA/index.php ... d729eca388.
