Hello and Welcome to the English section of the official Hannover 96 Newsgroup. Here you can find information about Hannover 96 and people to discuss about the team.
We installed this service because of the many non-German posters finding it sometimes hard to understand German and because of the many people from all over the world of soccer/football being interested in Hannover 96 and it's players after the latest international transfers.
Please note that this section is English only, so all non-English posts will be deleted or shifted to another section (if German).
If you have any questions about this forum, the German language or want to find some links in German, please feel free to ask in this thread.

A translation for major Forum functions in German will follow, you can set up in your Profil(e) English as your language though...

Das Spiel=the game
Die Mannschaft = the team
AWD Arena/Hannover (all about the stadium and the hometown of Die Roten)
Die Roten = the reds (all about the management and the fans)
WM 2006 = world cup 2006
Fußball Allgemein = soccer/football in general (about other clubs and national teams)
Presse-Spiegel = press-mirror(quotes from newspapers and websites)
Anregungen = criticism

Register instructions for the official Forum:

-Now you have to fill in every field that has a *.
Benutzername=Nickname
E-Mail Adresse=Email adress
Passwort=Password
Passwort wiederholen=repeat password

Board Sprache is the language the board is setted, you should switch it from german to English.
klick on 'Absenden'

Some Update
We will frequently open a Thread for every game, so I'd like you to write your thoughts about the game, no matter whether before, at the same time or after the game, into the post. Maybe we'll get some more frequently writing in here... ;-)

So, after the public wanted me to go for it I finally cleaned up this thread. So some of you propably have lost a few posts, sorry for that, but I think it is in public interest. If you have any questions just send me a PM, contact me via ICQ or email or open a new thread, I will close this one now so that only moderators can add something.
meanwhile I am trying to make this manual work better and get you Americans smoother in this - after all - German board engine.

On Bundesliga.de you have a radio, too, but you will rarely find Hannover being on for a whole game but just the conference... :-/
I usually go with the official H96 ticker, sport 1 for conference and NDR2 for atmosphere...

Since a lot of you are looking to find other fans, I decided to add these two sites, even though they are competition ;-), to the links I allready postet here:
Das Fanmagazin: Biggest non-official internet portal about Hanover 96 with a high-frequented forum, also with an English section.
Bigsoccer's German sectionEnglish-languaged, American-based football portal. The German boards are quite popular and there are a few Hanover 96 fans from all over the world discussing there.
