Well, if a certain "professional" would start acting like one, maybe he'd have less problems? Because, quite frankly, the media, the fans and the club agree that the coach is very professional about these things. Did you see Cherundolo's goal from Saturday? That was one of those shots that only hits the net when you're already successful. Deflected by the keeper and hits post and bar before going in... a video keeper for sure.

thanks der rote-- i enjoy stirring the pot or having a go as much as the next guy- but keith's posts seemed more like a fart in church than a proper stir of the pot. anyways- no- i haven't seen the goal from last saturday but it sounded great. finding hanover games here (california) is tough- but fox sports world does show them once in a while. Also i'm a big usa national team fan- but you have my permission to give landon donovan a proper welcome back to germany next month! I'd love to see landon be dangerous-but shut down by the red's defense...

Donovan is in for a nice surprise when he meets our guys, that's for sure. But since a staple of our defense is Steve Cherundolo it shouldn't be too bad for you as a fan.

You do know that we have a site called http://www.96soccer.com, right? It features match reports and interviews in English and even the occasional real audio content. And Keith can buy his very own Clint-Mathis-jersey there. In bright red with a nice "96" on it. What more can one ask for?

EDIT: oh, and http://sport.ard.de/sp/fussball/bundesliga/vereine/hannover96/ you can find a short (50 sec.) interview-clip with our coach and Steve Cherundolo. It's in German but I think it's kinda neat to hear Steve speak perfect German with just a slight American accent. Just click on the little video-symbol next to "Hannover weiter erfolgreich [sportschau]".

What he's saying, btw, is "lately, we're enjoying it more. You can see that with the coach and with us, but I think that is perfectly normal when you're successful".

yes- the english site is great- i'd love mrs. rat to buy me a hanover jersey for christmas. also- i enjoy listening to the audio clips in german- even though my 1 year of german in college has faded & about all i remember is voe ist monica?? en boat... it's still fun to try & pick out a word here & there- maybe a new thread helping the german impared with some key words/phrases ect...

Well Steve is not as well known as Mathis - Clint was featured on the COVER of Sports Illustrated before the World Cup. Thats about as celebrated as you can get in American Sports, and a soccer player to boot. It cant be repeated enough that its hard to believe that Mathis doesnt feature in a mere Kraut team - but of course we know he WOULD be if a level-headed coach like RR was at the club.
