In the English section, you find directions how to get to the stadium from the station which is in the city centre.

Is stadium near city centre?

:flag962:
short answer: All things in walking dimensions ...

4 Minutes walk from main Trainstation to City
15 Minutes walk from City to Stadium
around every 3 Minutes walk you will find the next pub ...

important additionally information:

in the days around the game and during the game there is a big festival close to the stadium!

"Maschseefest" is a big party at a big lake 3 Minutes walk from the stadium.

Many bands play music for free at different stages and every 200 meters you will find beer gardens and beer carts and "bratwurst" and other things to eat.

and especially:

At the eastside of the Maschsee there is an "irish zone" called "Temple Bar". There you can drink guinnes and other irish beers. Besides they are playing irish folk there nearly every day  .

Gibts nach Dublin eine organisierte Reise? Also sowas wie ein Silber-Flug oder ein Bronze-U-Boot? Habe noch nichts dergleichen irgendwo gelesen. :(

@ St Pats Fan and Irishpaul

some more Hannover-related info:
- As we are still in the summer break, there are no other matches scheduled on the weekend 10&11/08. Exception: a test match against Manchester United on 11/08, 20.20h.
- As already mentioned, there is the Maschseefest including an Irish section really close to the stadium, so before and after the match you´ll be able to meet a lot of other fans there and can have a couple of beers.
- If you don´t know yet: we do not have the pint. If you order a beer (even a Guinness), you´ll get 0,5l. Sorry for that.
- During Europe Legue matches, you´ll not be able to buy any alcohol in the stadium. Be prepared. However, there are alcohol tests from time to time at the visitors section of the stadium, so don´t drink til you drop.
- The town centre is not too big, so you can walk to the most of the interesting places. For extensive sightseeing you´ll get day tickets for sub/tram/bus for 4,5€.

In case of questions, just ask! We willing to make your stay in Hannover as nice as possible (with only one exception: the match result ;) ).

Some questions from my side:
I am thinking about visiting some more matches during my stay in Dublin. I would like to see you in Richmond park as well. I see a fixture against Derry already 03/08, so only one day after our match. Will this one be rescheduled?
I´d also like to visit a Gaelic football match. Can you recommend anything between 01/08 and 05/08?

A big THANK YOU in advance!

Cheers!

Wir sollten bei dem Spiel 4 Leute auf John Russell ansetzen. Der ist ein richtiger Goalgetter. :noidea2:
