Re: English comments on Hannover 96 matches
we've lost too many points, so we've to say goodbye to Europe
in too many matches we've forgotten to play in last minutes
96 - Gladbach 2-0 becomes 2-3 in 9 minutes, 3 points lost
Mainz - 96 1-1 becomes 2-1, 89', 1 point lost
Dusseldorf - 96 1-1 become 2-1, 83', 1 point lost
S04 - 96 the worst period of the season for Schalke, too many errors in defense, at least 1 point lost
Werder - 96 0-0 becomes 2-0 in last 7 minutes, 1 point lost
Nurnberg - 96 1-2 becomes 2-2, last minute, 2 points lost
96 - Eintracht / 96 Stuttgart double 0-0, at least 2 points lost
I think we've missed about 11 points... we could have been in 4th place with 49 points...
I hope we pay more attention next season...
anyway GO 96

Re: English comments on Hannover 96 matches
I have seen the situation in DFB Cup and in the semifinal round we have
Dortmund, Gladbach, Munchen and Furth...
So if Furth doesn't reach the final, the 7th place in Bundesliga will be good for Europa League (and now we have 6 points to defend 7th place)

Re: English comments on Hannover 96 matches
I'm what you would call a novice when it comes to European football, but I've been following Hanover closely this season after maintaining a slight interest over the last few years. I'm amazed at how much a win can do for your confidence.
One day you're worrying over relegation, and after a win, you're not far off from being in serious competition for the Europa. I don't know if that's common, but I love it.
I'm fairly certain I am the only Hanover fan in Oklahoma, so hopefully you guys will keep me company here, so I have someone to talk Hanover football with

Re: English comments on Hannover 96 matches
Hi Okie! Welcome to the forum of Hannover 96 - hope you enjoy it.
That's fantastic: there are reds in the US!
(One old miracle of our club since the 1920s: our colours are black-white-green, but we are the reds and play in red shirts!)
Worrying is very german - but I don't believe that we are in trouble about relegation. On the other hand - Europe in next season is far away...
In detail: if second half of this season is as bad as the first one we have 36 points, then we may be in relegation. (Blue-yellow from the forbidden city
is on 18 and shall stay there, the little HSV from Hamburg seems to plan to go down also - I don't believe that one of them will reach over 30 points. All the others like Freiburg, Nuremberg, Frankfurt may reach over 36... Just my humble opinion!)
In best case we "survive" the first nine rounds of second half against the first nine teams of actual score. The win in Wolfsburg may be a hint that we get back in track soon - so in best case we may reach in sum the 50 to 55 points - and then Europe is getting nearer. So in this way you are right - one win makes very much for our confidence. And remember: we won the first away points of the whole season!
If I should bet, I would say we finish on places 8 to 10.
I agree - I never would have thought, that there is even one red in Oklahoma, so two of them is rather impossible...

Yeah, the last years with Europa League were a great experience for our team and I would really like it if we could do it again. How did we get to your focus since Hannover is not as famous as other clubs? Maybe Dolo's one reason?Okie hat geschrieben:I'm what you would call a novice when it comes to European football, but I've been following Hanover closely this season after maintaining a slight interest over the last few years.

Re: English comments on Hannover 96 matches
Well the first half is over and 96 is playing a decent and fluent game so far not allowing Augsburg to get anything going. They generate pressure up front which Augsburg proved not to be able to handle. Lets get the W boys.
